Mini-Concert

[English | Japanese]
A mini-concert was held at a biotech company I am working for around Boston area (130 employees).

Japanese employees started coordinating donations right after the earthquake and the total amount reached $12,000 including two Shelter Lunch Drive and sales of gift certificates donated by restaurants and hotels. Yuki, daughter of my friend, accepted to play the violin in appreciation of their kind thoughts and contribution. Mr. T.H. from Consulate General of Japan visited our company to give a formal appreciation speach representing Japan.

Yuki played several selected pieces in front of the screen showing earthquake and tsunami photos. Many people did not expect to shed tears. Although biotech is a risky business, I wish people involved in drug development have a sensitivity towards the suffering of others.

The video shows Yuki playing Thais Mediation.
